What channels does IPTV Gold have? Last updated:
The IPTV Gold channel list holds 56,000+ live channels sorted into 10 categories: Canadian English networks, Québec and French TV, sports, news, movies with a 4K group, series on demand, kids, 40+ international language groups, documentaries and music. Every plan includes all of them, with a program guide and catch-up on supported channels.
Channel categories at a glance
Every plan on our IPTV Canada service includes the whole lineup, sorted into the 10 groups below. They're grouped by language, country and type, so the guide on your Firestick or smart TV reads like a well-organised cable listing rather than one endless scroll. Canadian English channels
This is the group most households open first. It holds the major Canadian networks in English, their local stations from St. John's to Victoria, and the national specialty channels for drama, comedy, lifestyle and reality TV. Local news is where it earns its place: you can watch the supper-hour newscast from your own city, or from the one you grew up in.
Several networks carry both Eastern and Pacific feeds, so a prime-time show can start at 8 p.m. wherever you live. Our page on English and French Canadian IPTV goes deeper on the Canadian side of the lineup.
Québec and French-language channels
French-language Canadian networks get a Québec group of their own instead of being tucked inside an international list. Inside are the general-entertainment networks, French news channels, sports in French, kids' programming and specialty channels for films, séries and lifestyle. A separate francophone group carries channels from France and Belgium.
Bilingual households in Ottawa-Gatineau, Moncton or Montréal can pin both the English and French groups to favourites and switch in seconds. If you live in Québec, the Montréal IPTV guide with French channels covers local networks and internet providers.
Sports channels
Sports are organised by league and sport rather than dumped into one long list: hockey, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, combat sports, motorsport, golf, tennis and more. Canadian sports networks sit beside American and international sports channels, so NHL, CFL, NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, Premier League and F1 broadcasts are easy to spot in the guide.
On the biggest nights, such as playoff hockey, the Grey Cup or a major fight card, a backup source is listed next to the main stream. Regional feeds, where they're carried, help out-of-market fans follow their own team from the other side of the country.
News channels
Canadian national news networks run alongside American cable news, international news channels from the UK, Europe and beyond, and dedicated business and weather channels. It's the group to keep open on an election night, during a winter storm warning or when markets are moving.
Local newscasts from Canadian cities live in the Canadian English and Québec groups, while news in other languages, from Arabic to Hindi to Spanish, sits with its language group. Catch-up on supported news channels means the 6 p.m. bulletin is still there at 10.
Movies and 4K
Movie channels cover new releases, classics, action, comedy and family films, alongside premium-style movie networks that run around the clock. Beyond the live channels, the on-demand library lets you start any film from the beginning, with pause, rewind and subtitles where the title includes them.
Titles are sorted by genre and recent additions, many in Full HD. Anything mastered in Ultra HD is collected in the 4K group, so you don't have to hunt for the sharpest version. The 4K section further down explains what your connection needs.
Series on demand
Full seasons of popular series sit in the on-demand section, sorted by genre: drama, comedy, crime, reality, sci-fi, animation and more. Instead of joining a show halfway through its run, you start at season one, episode one, and go at your own pace.
Most players, including IPTV Smarters and XCIPTV, remember where you stopped and keep a continue-watching row. Series are part of every plan, with no per-episode charge, and the library keeps growing over time.
Kids and family channels
Cartoons, preschool programming and family channels come in English and French, which helps if your kids are in French immersion or you'd like them hearing both languages at home. Family movies are in the on-demand library too.
Parents stay in control. TiviMate, IPTV Smarters and MAG portals let you lock any group behind a PIN and hide categories you'd rather not show, so a child scrolling the guide only sees what you've allowed. Saving the kids' groups to their own favourites list puts their channels a single click away.
International channels by language
More than 40 language groups bring news, entertainment, sport and religious programming from abroad, along with diaspora channels made for viewers outside the home country. Each language gets its own group in the guide, so nobody has to scroll past a dozen other countries to reach theirs. The groups include:
- Punjabi
- Hindi
- Urdu
- Tamil
- Gujarati
- Arabic
- Farsi
- Cantonese
- Mandarin
- Filipino / Tagalog
- Portuguese
- Italian
- Spanish
- Latin American
- Greek
- Polish
- Ukrainian
- Caribbean
- French Africa
Language groups are part of every plan, not a paid add-on. If the language you watch isn't on this list, ask support before you order; they'll tell you what's carried and how the group is laid out.
Documentary and lifestyle channels
Nature, history, science and space channels share this group with true crime, food, travel and home-renovation networks. It's the easy-watching corner of the guide: background TV on a Sunday afternoon, or a proper documentary when you want something more absorbing than another sitcom rerun.
Lifestyle shows from Canadian networks are in here too, from cooking competitions to cottage makeovers. Nature and travel programming occasionally turns up in the 4K group, which is where those sweeping drone shots finally look the part.
Music and radio
Music video channels cover pop, rock, country, hip-hop, Latin, Bollywood and more, while audio-only stations play continuous music for the background. They're handy when you want the TV on without anyone actually watching it: dinner with friends, a kitchen clean-up or a kids' dance party in the living room.
Played through a soundbar, an audio-only channel sounds far better than a phone speaker, and there's no screen to stare at.
Program guide (EPG) and catch-up
Every channel group is matched to a program guide (EPG), so you see what's on now, what's next and what's coming up over the next few days. The guide arrives with an Xtream Codes login or a MAG portal without extra steps; with an M3U playlist, you add the XMLTV link that comes with your details. TiviMate shows it as a full grid you scroll by time, close to a cable box, while IPTV Smarters lists programs channel by channel.
Catch-up works from the same guide. On supported channels, marked with an archive icon, you scroll back and press a program that has already aired. It's at its best across time zones: a 7 p.m. Eastern puck drop is over before dinner in Vancouver, but catch-up lets a West Coast viewer start from the opening faceoff. How far back you can go depends on the channel.
The 4K group and the bandwidth it needs
Channels and on-demand titles mastered in Ultra HD are gathered into one 4K group, so the sharpest version is always in the same place. Watching it properly takes three things: a 4K TV, a device that decodes 4K streams (Fire TV Stick 4K Max, NVIDIA Shield, Apple TV 4K, Formuler Z11 Pro, MAG 524 or a recent Google TV model), and a steady connection of about 25 Mbps for that screen. Wi-Fi 6 or a cable to the router keeps it smooth on busy evenings.
| Quality | Resolution | Suggested speed per screen | Data per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| SD | 480p | About 5 Mbps | About 2.3 GB |
| HD | 720p | About 10 Mbps | About 4.5 GB |
| Full HD (FHD) | 1080p | About 15 Mbps | About 6.8 GB |
| 4K Ultra HD | 2160p | About 25 Mbps | About 11 GB |
How to find a channel fast
With 56,000+ channels, nobody scrolls from the top. Three habits make the guide feel small, whichever player you use:
- Build a favourites list. In TiviMate, long-press OK on a channel and choose to add it to favourites; in IPTV Smarters, long-press the channel and add it to Favourites. For most people, a short list covers the whole week.
- Search by name. Both apps have a search option in the live TV view. Typing a few letters of a network, city or team beats any amount of remote-clicking.
- Hide the groups you never open. TiviMate's group manager and the IPTV Smarters settings let you hide whole categories, such as language groups nobody at home speaks, so the guide only shows what you watch.
Setting these up takes a few minutes on day one and saves time every evening after. Our device setup guides show where each option lives on Firestick, smart TVs and Android boxes, and the free one-day trial is a good time to build your list before choosing a plan on the plans and prices page.
Channel list questions
Can I ask for a channel that isn't in the list?
Yes. Message support with the channel's name and country, and the request gets checked against what can be carried. We can't promise every request will be added, so if one channel decides whether you subscribe, ask before you order or search for it during the 24-hour free trial. That way you know for certain before any money changes hands.
Are local stations from my city included?
Local newscasts from many Canadian markets, from the big metros to mid-sized cities, sit in the Canadian English or Québec groups, labelled so you can spot your own region. Coverage differs from city to city, though, and very small markets may not have a feed. The surest check is to search your city's name in the guide during the free trial and see exactly which local stations appear.
Why does the same channel appear more than once in the guide?
Many channels are listed in several versions, usually SD, HD, FHD and sometimes 4K, and some also have Eastern and Pacific feeds or a backup source for big events. The duplicates are deliberate. Pick the highest quality your connection handles, keep a lower one as a fallback for weak Wi-Fi, and favourite only the version you like so the guide stays tidy.
Does the channel list change over time?
A little. Channels are occasionally added, renamed or moved between groups, and event channels appear for things like playoffs and major tournaments. Your player picks up the changes when it refreshes the playlist, which most apps do at launch or on a schedule. If a favourite suddenly disappears, refresh the list and search by name before contacting support.
Can I see every channel before I subscribe?
Yes, through the free trial. For 24 hours you get the real guide on your own device, so you can search for every channel and team you care about. We describe the lineup by category rather than printing a giant static list, because channels shift and an outdated list would mislead you. Support can also confirm specific channels before you order.
